Doing the Uber Thing

(Monday 23 March 2015) by Rick Clot
As I might have mentioned in a previous blog, I have been driving for Uber, a ride sharing service or as I like to call it a taxi cab on steroids, for about seven months. I do it to get out of the house and stay busy more than anything else. After seven months and close to 1,000 rides, to say I have met an interesting cross section of people is the understatement of the year. My riders have ranged from homosexuals kissing in the back seat to a variety of individuals in various stages of drunkenness to ladies of the evening to a cross dresser who actually looked good in shorts until she/he spoke. Last week I picked up a tattoo artist, a guy in his 50's, who was extremely disheveled. This guy could have easily been the poster child for white trash. In fact, I'm sure if you looked up white trash in the dictionary you'd see his picture. He was either drunk or stoned. Not sure which. If it's possible to be both at the same time then he was. So I had to ask him the inevitable question, where was the strangest place on a person's body he ever put a tattoo? In the interest of keeping this a family forum I am going to respectfully decline to reveal his answer but I will encourage you to use your imagination. It was an interesting ride to say the least.

Until Next Time,
Still Uber'ing,
Rick
