Still Working at 71

(Wednesday 13 September 2017) by Rick Clot
For the last four years I've been running a little airport shuttle service out of my house. I've been traveling back and forth to the airport so much I've needed an oil change every 6-8 weeks which is about 7,000 miles of driving. Got another appointment next Wednesday. The miles just keep piling up on this car. 133,000 miles and the car is a little over 4 1/2 years old. We're going to try to make it to San Antonio, TX. next May for a reunion of my army group and I'm pretty sure I don't want to drive my car and add a couple thousand more miles to this buggy so we might look into renting a car. I don't know what I'm going to do if this car craps out on me. I might have to get the flat tires fixed on my bicycle.

I saw a scary sight the other night. While waiting in the airport cell phone lot for an incoming flight, I was watching the planes land one after another. Next thing I know I see the next plane in line coming in and he gets 50' off the ground just about ready to touch down and he guns it and takes off again. I don't know why he did that. Maybe he had a problem or another plane came out on the runway. Not sure but it looked scary.

Until Next Time,
Rick
